International Court of Justice

The International Court of Justice (ICJ), seated in the Peace Palace in The Hague, is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations (UN). It was established in June 1945 by the Charter of the United Nations.

As a distinguished corporate gift, Rooymans Neckwear developed four different ties and two scarves for this leading international institution. The pure silk ties, executed in two colorways, feature the court’s circular and dignified emblem woven in a highly detailed, small-scale repeating pattern across the entire tie. The lining incorporates the emblem once again, accompanied by the full official name. The ties convey formality, elegance, and clear institutional identity.

For the luxurious 90 x 90 cm silk twill scarves, architectural elements of the Peace Palace served as the design inspiration. The mosaic tiles of the central hall formed the basis for one design, while the peace dove ornament from the ceiling inspired the other. Both scarves were designed by Leslie Hermer.

Presented in matching custom-printed square boxes for the ties and dedicated gift boxes for the scarves, these accessories form a refined and prestigious gift, perfectly suited for the highly respected international relations of the Court.
